VCOM on touchscreen Tablet PCs creates a powerful, cost effective Desktop Intercom solution! VCOM™ is a highly interoperable, IP Software Intercom leveraging advanced algorithms and software engineering for on the edge streaming and ultra wide band communications. The System is engineered to support highly dynamic, fast, and complex communications requirements and consists of the following components:
VCOM Control Panels can be loaded on PCs, Tablet PCs, PDAs, and Smartphones within minutes and provide point-and-click control for establishing talk and/or listen voice paths. Multiple group and individual voice paths can be established simultaneously and multiple conferences can be accommodated in any complexity. Subscribers may talk and/or listen in a single conference or multiple conferences, in any combination and in any sequence. All basic paths are set up in advance and are “always on” for instant (multiple) channel access for talking and monitoring. “Dialing” as in a normal telephone system is available to allow seamless interoperability with public/private switched telephone networks.
Tactile feedback with X-keys -- activate VCOM Control Panel selectors in either momentary or latch operation mode with X-keys VCOM runs on standard computer and network hardware and is based on a dedicated server, multiple client architecture. All VCOM components run on Windows® or Linux, and Mac's running Windows® or Parallels. The System readily scales to hundreds of users, is built on a highly flexible platform, and coincides with a broad movement within industry and government to use widely deployed IP infrastructures and commercially available computer hardware.
SIP Compatibility
VCOM marries IP telephony and Matrix Intercom. The VCOM Virtual Matrix includes an integrated SIP server which allows connection of SIP enabled VoIP peripherals directly into the Virtual Matrix from any network connection without the need for a PC. Simply connect a SIP enabled IP phone/phone system, analog telephone adapter (ATA), or IP gateway into a network and using the VCOM System Administration application map your SIP peripheral(s) to Point-to-Points, Group Call, and/or Party Lines in any complexity.
